« The ambition of AquiStain is to become a key player in the field of proteomics through its innovative and non-toxic products, from the French research ».
Founded in 2016 and located in Bordeaux, the Company AquiStain designs, produces and markets a range of fluorescent protein stains used for research in the field of health and biotechnology.
These new fluorescent labels, more sensitive, are intended to identify and quantify low abundance proteins due to their pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical value.
Our aim is to provide an innovative solution to our customers by offering efficient fluorescent labels, 10 times more sensitive and non-toxic compared to the market leader.
These innovations are patented internationally. In addition, AquiStain was winner in 2015 of the National Competition of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
AquiStain thanks all of its partners who have supported and contributed to its success.
Incubateur Régional d’Aquitaine (IRA), Laboratoire Cobra-UMR 6014-CNRS, Institut des Sciences Moléculaires (ISM), Université de Rouen, Université de Bordeaux, Centre de Génomique Fonctionnelle de Bordeaux (CGFB), Bpi France, le Ministère de la recherche et la Région Aquitaine.
The fluorescent protein labels of AquiStain are the fundamental search results carried out within the COBRA laboratory (Joint Research Unit (UMR-6014) of CNRS, University of Rouen and INSA Rouen).
Today, after six years of technological maturation within the Cobra laboratory, AquiStain founds in Aquitaine region an ideal environment to develop its activities. AquiStain joined a rich and vibrant ecosystem through the Aquitaine Regional Incubator (IRA) and the University of Bordeaux. AquiStain also supported by the Institute for Molecular Sciences (ISM) and the Bordeaux Functional Genomics Center (CGFB) for its launch phase.
2009, a first patent was filed in France. It will be extended to the international in 2011.
February 2015, the Aquitaine Regional Incubator welcomes AquiStain for its maturation phase.
June 2015, the innovative technology AquiStain was awarded with the National Competition of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, i-Lab15.
January 2016, The AquiStain SAS is created to design, produce and market its innovative fluorescent protein labels.
May 2016, AquiStain signs an exclusive license with the University of Rouen.
December 2016, AquiStain obtains the status of Young Academic Company.
